Best Rate Guarantee Terms and Conditions

1. The Offer – Paymentplus provides a Best Rate Guarantee to new customers. If Paymentplus cannot match or beat the processing rates provided in a prospective customer’s current merchant statement, the customer may be eligible to receive a Me2You gift card to the value of €1,000.

2. Eligibility Criteria -To qualify for this offer, you must meet all of the following requirements: 

• You must be a new customer to Paymentplus. 

• You must provide a full and valid merchant processing statement from the last three months with your existing providers current rates.  

• The services from your existing provider must be of a similar standard to those provided by Paymentplus including but not limited to terminals, software services and settlement frequency. 

• You must be outside of your current fixed term contract period with their existing provider. 

• Your business must be a registered legal entity operating within the Republic of Ireland.  

• Your business must have an annual card turnover of less than €1 million. Businesses with an annual card turnover of over €1 million are not eligible. 

• If you are availing of caps or restrictions on scheme or interchange fees, you are not eligible for this offer e.g. Visa Sector Development Program or Visa Merchant Performance Program. 

3. Comparison Process – The comparison will be based on the total cost of processing, including but not limited to merchant service charges, authorization fees, and monthly terminal rentals. Paymentplus reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the provided statement. The guarantee applies to the overall financial package rather than individual line items. 

4. Issuing of Gift Card – In the event that Paymentplus determines it cannot match or improve upon the current rates, a €1,000 Me2You gift card will be issued within thirty days of the formal written refusal of the rate match. Only one gift card is permitted per legal business entity. 

5. Exclusions – This offer is not available to businesses in high risk categories as defined by our acquiring partners. It does not apply if the merchant provides incomplete or redacted documentation. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotional discounts or introductory incentives. 

6. Personal Data – Any personal data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy here.  

7. General Terms – Paymentplus reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time without prior notice. The decision of Paymentplus regarding rate comparisons is final.  

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction – These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising out of or in connection with them.
